This popular sweet and creamy lassi, made of yogurt, suigar and pinch of cardamom is a refreshing cooling drink and a perfect accompaniment to the hot and spicy Indian food.
Ingredients:
Serves 4
2 ½ cups plain yogurt
1 cup cold water
4-5 tbsp sugar (or to taste)
pinch of ground cardamom from 2 pods (optional)
finely chopped pistachios, or frutis to decorate,
crushed ice to serve
How to make Sweet Lassi:
Pour yogurt, water, sugar, ground cardamom and ice into a blender.
Blend on a high setting for 1 minute.
Pour the lassi into tall glasses.
Sprinkle with chopped pistachios to decorate and serve immediately.
