Chicken Tikka Kabab

Boneless succulent chunks of chicken breast, marinated in yoghurt, heavy cream (malai) and just the right herbs and spices, then grilled slowly, or broiled in the oven.

Serves 2

  • 1.1lb/500 g boneless chicken breast (cut into pieces)
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup yogurt
  • ¼ cup cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp garlic ginger paste
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • salt to taste
  • For the marinade mix all ingredients together.

How to make Chicken Tikka Kabab:

  1. Wash, clean the chicken, cut into a medium size chunks.
  2. Place all the ingredients into a large bowl and mix well.
  3. Add cut up chicken breast and leave for 2-3 hours.
  4. Heat a gas oven or an electric oven with the skewers.
  5. Put pieces of chicken on skewers carefully.
  6. Keep rotating the skewers occasionally. When cooked, gently remove the kababs from the skewers.
  7. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Serve hot.
