Green Mango Chutney

Indian's favorite chutney goes with any Indian appetizer, snack or Indian dish. Green mango chutney, also known as raw mango chutney, is an Indian chutney prepared from unripe mangoes.


Serves 2-4

  • 4 sour green mangoes
  • 2 tbsp chopped mint
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • 3-4 dry red chilies
  • 2 green chilies
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil (optional)
  • 4 curry leaves
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 2-3 tbsp water

How to make Green Mango Chutney:

  1. Peel the mangoes and chopped it finely.
  2. Blend in the blender chilies, mangoes, mint, coriander leaves, garlic with cumin and salt.
  3. Heat the oil in the pan. Add the remaining mustard seeds and curry leaves and fry until all the seeds have popped, then stil into the chutney. Add salt to taste.
